Dr. Matthew Bunting is a Research Scientist at the Institute for Software Integrated Systems at Vanderbilt University. He joined Vanderbilt in 2022 having previously been a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Arizona from 2020-2022. His research is in embedded control software and visualization for cyber-physical systems.

His research is in embedded control software and visualization for cyber-physical systems.

Bunting received the Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Arizona in 2019. He worked as part of the Compositional Systems Laboratory while a PhD student in Arizona. Since 2009, he has been known for his work involving the design and implementation of biologically inspired behaviors in a mobile hexapod robot.
